This isn't what I want anymore
An illusion inside my heart alone
And lying next to you only makes me sad
Because I know that it isn't mine
This dream will shatter one day
Leaving just the pieces and the tears
How can I find the strength within
To just breathe and let you go?

End of another year...

Wow, it's hard to believe that it's the end of 2009 already. I guess I'll take the opportunity to reflect and make some random lists of... stuff.

Note-worthy events:
- Graduated from undergrad (i.e. ended my freedom)
- Started grad school (i.e. bonded labour)
- (Re)discovered K-pop (i.e. became a borderline fangirl)
- Lots of other stuff that don't come to mind at the moment

Note-worthy artists that I've been listening to (in no particular order):
- SS501
- Younha
- Super Junior
- GReeeeN
- Stereopony
- Anson Hu
- Lee Seung Gi

Songs that I've voluntarily had on repeat (also in no particular order):
- SS501 - 데자뷰 [Deja Vu]
- Anson Hu - 天若有情 [I have no idea what the translation is. It's Track 6 on his 'Music Code' album.]
- Lee Seung Gi - 우리 헤어지자 [Let's Break Up]
- G-Dragon - Heartbreaker
- U-Kiss - 만만하니 [Man Man Ha Ni... something like 'Insignificant'?]
- Younha - 우늘 헤어졌어요 [Broke Up Today]
- 가시찔레 [Wild Rose Thorn?] - Only You (from the 'Biscuit Teacher and Star Candy' drama)
- Tim - 사랑합니다 [I Love You]
- Super Junior - 너라고 [It's You]
- Lee Seung Gi - 가면 [Mask]
- Stereopony - I do it
- Big Bang - This Love
- Big Bang - 바보 [Fool]
- Super Junior-T - 나 같은건 없는건가요
- SS501 - 넌 나의 천국 [You Are My Heaven]
- SS501 - U R Man
- Hamasaki Ayumi - Boys & Girls

Geez, this just turned into a massive list of songs. To be fair, these are only the artists/songs that I've been into for the last 6 months or so, or whenever I got my new laptop. So this is not so much me 'remembering' stuff but more like me going through my bookmarks and music folders and going "aha!". My memory sucks, I know. :\

Sell a kidney? Maybe two?

Ah, it's that time of year when money seems to run through your fingers like sand. Though truthfully, this year it's been less because of the gift-buying and more because of the selfish clothes-buying haha. I guess it's my Christmas gift to myself? (Wonder if the SS501 U R Man 2-disc DVD wouldn't have been a better self-gift... at the very least it would have been better eye candy :3 ...yummy.)

Personally, I think Hyung Jun needs to reconnect with some of his previous looks, particularly the 'U R Man' one. Every time I watch a 'Love Like This' performance I think that cordi nuna needs to be shot. I don't really like the hair colour itself either, I think dark hair looks the best on him... but not the side-swept bangs like what he sports now. And his I'm-trying-too-hard-to-garner-more-love thing on variety shows is a whole other story/post. No matter what though, 막내 Hyung Jun is still <3.

When too many is... well, too many

I like Super Junior as much as the next person but really... 13 members? I think that's kind of pushing it. Btw, this isn't at all in relation to Han Kyung's request to leave SuJu since, let's face it, I'm not a big enough fan of Super Junior for it to really affect my life.
(On a random side note though, the first time I ever saw Han Kyung was in the MV for the Beijing Olympics song but I didn't know who he or SuJu was at the time.)

That being said, I have to admit that their MV choreography is pretty impressive considering the size of the group. Plus you know... there's never any need (or space) for back-up dancers right? I think my main beef with groups this big is that the individual members don't get as much opportunity to showcase their talent as they would in smaller groups. I mean, it seems hard enough with 5- or 6-member groups. I do like watching them in different variety shows, etc. though, and overall I like SuJu's songs (or at least the few that I've heard). I especially like their "dance only" versions of the MVs.

I just wish they'd stop making such big groups. And yes, 9 members like SNSD is still too many.

P.S. The temperature where I was is 30 degrees F. The temperature where I am now is 30 degrees C. Awesome.

P.P.S. Breaking them up into smaller sub-unit groups doesn't count.

Caution!

Hahahaha....

On a totally unrelated side note, I heard *N Sync's "Tearin' Up My Heart" in the cafeteria today... ahh, nostalgia...

First entry! w00t

I put off writing my first entry because I wasn't sure what I should start off with. Ideally, it would have been something so awesome that I could look back on and think that it was the coolest thing ever. Haha. But I probably won't. ><

Anyhoo, this is something like the 3rd time that I've started a blog; wonder how long it'll last this time?

Younha (Korean singer) recently made her comeback with 오늘 헤어졌어요 (Broke Up Today) which is a really nice ballad. The MV is one of the most touching ones that I've seen in a while. The actor in it is also pretty cute... kind of reminds me of a grown-up version of Dongho from U-Kiss?
